The North White School Corporation is located in White County, Indiana and encompasses the communities of Buffalo, Monon, and Reynolds. It was formed in 1963 by virtue of the consolidation of these three communities. The school corporation is comprised of three townships of White County: Honey Creek, Liberty, and Monon. Three schools now serve the corporation. These schools and year of construction are as follows: North White Jr.-Sr. High School & North White Intermediate School– 1956, and North White Primary School – 1997. The schools are governed by a seven-member non-partisan school board. Members are elected at the May primary in alternate years. The area, while rural and agricultural, also includes light industry. In the resort areas of White County’s Lake Shafer and Lake Freeman, there are numerous recreational opportunities. Our proximity to Indianapolis, Lafayette/West Lafayette and Chicago provides access to numerous cultural and sporting events. Each school year provides a unique set of challenges due to state requirements, adjusted curricula, individual student needs, staffing changes, and unforeseen contingencies. However, our teachers, administrators, and staff members are qualified and prepared to meet these challenges. Our focus is on continuous improvement in our efforts to provide opportunities for academic success for each and every one of our students. Administration
