Meet the School Board

Board President: James White
I am a 1978 graduate of Twin Lakes High School, I continued my education at Rose Hulman Institute of Technology. I have been employed by Vester and Associates, Inc., Land Surveying  and Engineering for the last 30 years. My wife, Becky, was involved in real estate in this area for  over 25 years. We have four children, all of them are North White graduates. We currently have five grandchildren in the North White schools.  Becky and I have always been involved with the  schools in different roles as needed. We have been involved with Music and Athletic Booster Clubs. Becky has been the President of the North White Education Committee for several years.  We believe in working for the betterment of the education system that our children and community rely on for the future.  I look forward to working with the board, administration,  teachers, students, and the community to guide our schools as we all face the challenges  ahead. I invite the community as a whole to get involved and stay educated on the happenings  within our Corporation (it is OUR Corporation). If you can’t attend the board meetings, you  should read the minutes online or in the paper to keep up to date on the decisions that shape our school. I may have graduated as an Indian but I live as a North White VIKING!

Board Vice President: Josh Robertson
I am a lifetime White County resident and 1993 graduate of Frontier High School. I graduated from Purdue University in 1997 with a BS in Animal Science. Currently I reside in Reynolds with my wife Roxanne and children Cale (16) and Tessa (14). I am in my 21st year of a career at Bayer Crop Science. My wife has been in education for nearly 20 years being a special education teacher at both Twin Lakes and North White for most of that time and most recently serving as an educational diagnostician for the last 2 years. I feel that my career as well as the perspective I gain from conversations with Roxanne about her career are both things that will serve me well in this position. Our kids keep us busy being involved in basketball, baseball, and volleyball as well as 4H. I look forward to serving the North White community as a member for the school board. While I didn’t attend North White I am proud my kids are Vikings today.

North White is a tradition in Ricki’s family; her brothers Rob and Ryan are both graduates. I look forward to continuing to serve our community and leading the Viking nation forward.

Board Member: Scott Denton
I grew up just outside of Reynolds on Division Rd in the home my mom and dad still live in today. I was blessed to have God fearing, God loving parents that taught me how to be a man. Tim and Millie Denton thank you! I am a 1997 graduate of North White High school. After graduation I married my best friend and the best part of me Sallie Denton on August 2, 1997. After getting married we started our life with a 16hr journey to Laramie Wyoming where I went to school for automotive repair and business management. After graduation from college,  Sallie and I returned from home Wyoming and worked hard to start a life. After 6 years or so my wife and I had our first son Isaiah. He was amazing from the start and a great blessing. 3 years later our second son arrived, Ephraim Denton and God blessed us once again. Then low and behold exactly 3 years later to the day we were blessed a third time with Malachi Denton our youngest son. During this time, my life was filled with Jobs in sales, management, and politics. I was the Reynolds town board President for a time until I decided to look to other areas where I could help. Through this looking I was called to serve the public once again but this time as a North White school board member and to help fill the shoes of two great gentlemen that led before me. Thank you North White Family I pray I can help take us to the next great chapter in life.

Board Member: Carlene Hunt
Growing up I moved quite a bit with my family and we lived in much larger cities. After coming to North White I was able to establish some roots, and I graduated in 1999. I knew I loved the small town feel and wanted to continue living here and raise my own family. My husband Mickey Hunt also graduated from North White in 1996. We have been married for 24 years and we have two daughters, Callie and Ella. Our kids keep us busy with basketball, volleyball and 4H and we enjoy being a part of it with them. We love living on our small farm raising animals. I look forward to serving on the school board.

Board Member: Nicole Holeman
I am a lifelong resident of Monon and a proud 1989 graduate of North White. My husband, Jerry, and I have been married for 33 years and have three grown children- all North White grads. We have 5 grandchildren and are eagerly awaiting the arrival of grandchild number 6 in the summer of 2024.

For the past 20 years, I have been a nurse and have found my calling in working with behavioral health and substance abuse. Before my nursing career, I worked at Buffalo and Monon Elementary as an Instructional Assistance for Special Education. My husband works for the Indiana State Police as a District Investigative Commander. He has an active role at North White in the athletic department serving as a coach for several high school sports.

It's important to me that North White continues to succeed for the benefit of out students and community. I am proud of the education my family and I have received at North White. I’m excited to serve on the board. Go Vikings!

Board Member: Cory Applegate
I am a 2002 graduate of North White and was born and raised in Reynolds where I currently reside with my wife Megan, and two children, Kaylyn and Carter.  I have spent the majority of my professional career in commercial/industrial construction, and in my free time you can usually find me supporting our Vikings or helping coach one of the many sports my children love.  Megan is currently investing in our Viking youth as the Technology Facilitator at the North White Elementary School, and has spent many hours supporting the Vikings and coaching our youth as well.  Our home bleeds blue and white for our Viking family, and as several former board members have shaped who I am today, I am excited for this opportunity to serve the Viking Nation in a similar capacity.
