This morning, North White School Corporation experienced a situation involving one of our bus drivers who suffered a medical emergency during the early portion of their regular route.
We are grateful to report that the driver was able to safely steer the bus to a secure location at one of their scheduled pickup stops and bring the vehicle to a stop. Emergency services were immediately contacted, and 911 responded promptly to provide assistance.
All students on the bus remained safe throughout the incident. Another North White bus driver was dispatched to the location and transported the students to school without further issue.
The safety of our students and staff is always our top priority, and we commend the driver for their quick actions in ensuring the safety of everyone on board. We also appreciate the swift response of local emergency personnel.
